Understand the difference between the countdown, extending an address, and replacing it. Avoid deleting your inbox while a verification code is still on its way, and learn which tasks should never start with a temporary address.
Receive and read
Copy the address to the target website. When the email arrives, open it from the list and refresh manually if needed.
Add time to the same address
Add 3 hours while you wait for manual processing, but the total lifetime is limited to 24 hours from creation.
Replace or expire
Replacing the address invalidates the old inbox and creates a new 3-hour inbox. Once it expires naturally, recovery is not guaranteed.

Extending keeps the same address; replacing it starts a completely new task
Extend when the email has already been sent and you simply need more time. The address stays the same and existing emails remain available. Replace the address to create a new one and invalidate the old inbox—ideal for starting a separate, unrelated signup task.
Manual review is in progress, a download link will arrive later, or campaign emails are queued in batches.

A temporary inbox is designed for completing a short task and moving on, not for storing email long term. Before you finish, use these three checks to decide whether it’s safe to leave.
The verification code has been used
Confirm that signup or login is complete. Verification codes usually expire quickly and are not worth keeping long term.
All essential links are open
If you still need a download link, save the file to a protected device—but don’t keep suspicious attachments.
Can the account be recovered?
If you may need to recover the account by email later, it should not be linked to a temporary address. Change it to a permanent email immediately.
Browser recovery limits
A refresh usually restores access; don’t rely on switching devices
The current address and access token are temporarily stored in your local browser, so a normal refresh or brief absence will usually return you to the same inbox. After clearing site data, using a private window, switching browsers, or changing devices, the token may no longer be available.
Don’t share the token like a password
A temporary inbox does not require an account login; access is controlled by the token. Anyone who obtains it may be able to read your messages, so never share screenshots or links containing your inbox credentials.
